POLLY

“Light is my favorite tool. Shadow is my second favorite.”

SOPHIE

Photography is more than documenting what happened, it is preserving how it felt.

For Sophie and Polly, every celebration is approached with quiet observation, emotional sensitivity and an instinctive understanding of visual storytelling. While one notices the subtle relationship between light, architecture and composition, the other effortlessly creates connection, allowing people to feel completely at ease in front of the camera.

Together, they move between documentary honesty and editorial artistry, creating imagery that feels natural, timeless and deeply personal. Every photograph becomes part of a larger narrative, capturing not only the beauty of a wedding, but the atmosphere, emotion and fleeting moments that often pass unnoticed.

Sophie

Photographs emerge from the space between architecture and emotion, between clear composition and real life. Sophie finds her inspiration in theater sets and building facades, in the light that falls on market stalls in the morning, in the way a city breathes and in the silence of nature. All of this flows into my images: minimalist yet vibrant, unpretentious yet full of feeling. Light is my favorite tool. Shadow is my second.

What drives her most is showing people the way they’d like to see themselves or the way their loved ones see them. Authentic. Expressive. Beautiful, without having to pretend.

Her photographic superpower? Really seeing people. A glance. A gesture. The light on someone’s skin. Transforming these little things into images that feel both honest and timeless.

Away from photography, she loves long evenings with friends, colorful ceramics, ’60s furniture, and everything that smells and tastes good. Lakes and the ocean bring her peace. Vienna inspires Sophie.

Exclusive Wedding Photography

Exceptional wedding photography goes beyond beautiful portraits. It is about understanding people, anticipating moments and recognising the details that shape an unforgettable celebration.

As part of the Vow & Vision creative team, Sophie and Polly work alongside planner, florist, designer and content creator from the earliest stages of the creative process. This close collaboration allows every visual element. From the floral concept and stationery to the architecture and guest experience, to be photographed with intention and consistency.

Their work combines documentary storytelling with an editorial eye, creating timeless imagery that reflects both the beauty and the emotions of every celebration.

Destination Wedding Photography Across Europe & Beyond

Every destination brings its own atmosphere, light and story.

Whether documenting an intimate celebration in Scandinavia, a wedding weekend at Neuendorf House, the timeless elegance of Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay near Paris, the Mediterranean beauty of Casa Luum or Il Tabacchificio in Puglia, or the striking architecture of Ribbon Chapel in Hiroshima, Sophie and Polly approach every destination with fresh perspective and thoughtful curiosity.

Working with couples from around the world, they understand that destination wedding photography is about more than beautiful landscapes. It is about preserving the experience of travelling, gathering and celebrating in extraordinary places while creating imagery that remains timeless long after the wedding day.

Photography Within a Creative Team

Beautiful wedding photography begins long before the first photograph is taken.

Because Sophie and Polly collaborate closely with the planner, florist, designer and stylist of Vow & Vision, every creative decision supports the visual story. Timelines are designed around the best natural light, floral installations are considered from every angle and every detail, from bespoke stationery to architectural surroundings, becomes part of a cohesive narrative.

Rather than documenting a wedding after it has been created, they help shape the visual experience from the very beginning. The result is photography that feels intentional, harmonious and deeply connected to every element of the celebration.

The Process with Sophie & Polly

Beautiful details matter, but what stays with you is the feeling they create. We look beyond individual moments to capture the atmosphere of a celebration, the quiet anticipation before the ceremony, the energy around the dinner table and the emotion woven through every interaction. Working with both digital and analogue film allows us to balance precision with emotion, creating imagery that feels both timeless and deeply authentic.

We believe light tells the story.

Light is never just illumination. It shapes emotion, reveals texture and transforms a fleeting moment into something timeless. We instinctively follow it throughout the day, allowing every image to feel natural, effortless and true to the experience.

We notice what happens in between.

The most meaningful moments are rarely planned. A reassuring glance, a gentle touch, laughter shared across the table or a quiet pause before everything begins—these are the moments that give a wedding its soul. They are often the first things we notice and the last things anyone expects to remember.

We create space for authenticity.

The strongest photographs are never forced. By making people feel comfortable, present and free to be themselves, we create the space for genuine emotion to unfold naturally. Every image becomes a reflection of who you are, rather than how you were asked to pose.

We see every wedding as one visual story.

Photography doesn't exist in isolation. Architecture, florals, stationery, styling, movement and light all influence the final image. As part of Vow & Vision, we collaborate with every creative discipline from the very beginning, ensuring each photograph becomes part of one cohesive narrative.
